4th Grade News - Friday September 10, 2010

Thank you, parents, for coming to Curriculum Night. It was a pleasure meeting you. If you were unable to join us, look in your child's Friday Folder for a packet of info about 4th Grade. If you ever need to contact me with your questions or concerns, please feel free to do so.

These first few weeks your child is transitioning and may be a bit overwhelmed at times. Extra hugs and a lot of patience will help us all as we get on track and learn the routine together.

Looking ahead to next week:

LA - We are working with our Treasures series, reading stories, practicing reading fluently, working with subjects & predicates in Grammar, and learning what a Reading Response Journal (RRJ) is.

Math- We continue our work with rounding. Has your child told you what a wimp or bully is? Ask them! We will have a quiz Friday next week on place value, >/< and rounding.

Friday is a bake sale day, so remember your quarters! We have Liturgy on Wednesday.
There is a Max & Erma's fundraiser on the 17th - a flyer is in today's Friday Folder. Check online today for the Dolphin Digest for all the latest school news.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Laurie Smith
